Our Mission

We gather at Fairview Friends to become energized and equipped through the power of the Holy Spirit to go into the world to share Christ’s messages of love and compassion for all. Founded in God’s love, our ministry provides, by example, moral and spiritual guidance to our families and the community. We aim to live our faith through traditional Quaker practices of integrity, community, equality, peace, and simplicity.

Worship

We gather for worship on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. We meet in-person and over Zoom. E-mail if you would like to be added to our mailing list for the Zoom link.

Sunday School

Our adult Sunday School meets on first and third Sundays at 10:00 a.m., both in-person and over Zoom. This spring and summer we are discussing Following the Call: Living the Sermon on the Mount Together. E-mail if you would like to be added to our mailing list for the Zoom link (which is the same as the Zoom link for worship).

Location

We are located at 6796 Antioch Road, New Vienna, OH 45159. We are 14 miles from Wilmington; 14 miles from Hillsboro; and 20 miles from Washington Court House.

Meeting for Worship

Our form of Quaker worship is programmed—we have a minister who brings a weekly message. The minister speaks after a period of silent, open worship, and the message is followed by silent, open worship. During these periods of silence, others may feel led to give vocal ministry. We sometimes share music and
hymns, and sometimes we don't. We pray for our common and individual concerns during worship, and we share joys after worship.
